The proposed project will take place on US-11 between from Daimler Benz Boulevard and the Highway 5 intersection (approximately seven miles). Significant growth in industry over the last 25 years has transformed the US-11 corridor from Daimler Benz Blvd to Highway 5 into one of the most traveled roadways in the region. Traffic volumes have grown by 4.6 percent from 2014-2016, an increase from 1.2 percent from the previous years. These numbers are predicted to increase with the expansion of existing manufacturing plants and the addition of new industries. Therefore, infrastructure is needed to support the growing increase in traffic. Construction for the proposed project is anticipated in 2020 and will take approximately 2.5 to 3 years to complete.
